vegetarian exp. day 12 and 13

Jan. 22, 2010

Another day of breakfast popcorn and peanuts! For lunch i had a vegetarian stir fry in the cafe! yum yum! A nice change from the sandwichs I would have to say! Today I also ate lots of sugar, but my dinner was quite delicious. I had a yummy hash brown caserole! For anyone who hasn't had this, YOUR CRAZY! This comes close to chicken fried steak!

Today I went to yet another cheer competition! After waking up, eating a bowl of cheerios, and driving to hot springs, the fun started! The concession stands at competitions aren't the healthiest things in the world. Although, I did eat a few of my sisters nachos. Five and a half hours of cheerleaders, cheer music, and not much to eat, I was definitely ready for some grub! The other coaches and I stopped at Senor Tequilas in Maumelle were I ate a childs cheese enchilda and cheese sauce, with rice, and beans....and LOTS of chips! The greasy food made my stomach a little upset, but not quite as bad as the cheese sticks from coltons dad! Im still quite full and have only consumed a couple of marshmellows while watching Pregnancy Pact of Lifetime.

vegetarian exp. day 10 and 11

Jan. 20-21, 2010

I've changed up breakfast a little and have been eating cinnamon popcorn. It taste just like cinnamon toast, but its popcorn! I've gotten to really enjoy the taste of Vegetable sandwiches, although without pickles...its a little to dry! Yesterday at lunch, the cafe has a fruit and cheese table! I had a ton of pineapple, catelope, honey dew, and grapes...with a couple pieces of funny tasting fruit! I went to Subway for dinner on the 20th and ordered a veggie patty, which they were all out of, but one day I'm going to go back. It sounded pretty good. It is a patty of soy mixed with veggies. But since they were out, I just got a Veggie Delight on Wheat! yum yum yum!

vegetarian exp. Day 8 and 9

Jan. 18, 2010

Since I am a day behind, I really can't remember anything I ate besides a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and peanuts!

Jan. 19, 2010

Today was so stressful, my computer crashed again, my tires desperately needed to be changed, and I have a lot of homework. Being a vegetarian was the last thing I wanted to be today. But...i stuck to it. A veggie sandwich for lunch. After work I went home so my dad could put my new tires on, and work was so stressful I was really craving meat! I walk in to find a platter of roast beef and chicken salad,i think, sandwiches! I grabbed one and wanted to eat the roast beef so bad, but I didn't. I peeled it off, gave it to my brother, and just ate the bread, cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce for dinner. I decided on my way back to russellville, my caloric intake was a little low...so I got some Reese's and ate them. I still don't think I've eaten my minimum of 1200 calories, but it'll have to work because its almost 11 p.m. and I'm wore out!

vegetarian exp. Day 7

Jan. 17, 2009

My younger sister had a cheerleading competition today, so after throwing down a bowl of cheerios, my mom, my sister, and I were on our way to little rock. After we took my sister to her coaches, my mom and I walked slowly around the arena to find a seat. The concession stand smelled of hot dogs...and it drove me crazy! An hour or two later i ventured to the stand to get a drink and was so tempted to get a hot dog, but I didn't. When the three of us arrived home I had some left over Asian Salad minus the chicken, a banana, spaghetti noodles, and some valentine cookies. Already craving hot dogs from earlier, I opened the freezer to find something for dinner and a package of hot dogs was the first thing I spotted. For a second I almost forgot I was being a vegetarian. My older sister made macaronni for her little girls and topped it with bacon bits. I took a bite of the maccaronni, my sister had told me not to, but I thought it was because she just didn't want me too. As I chewed I realized what I had done, so i ran over to the trashcan and spit it out. I really did forget about the bacon bits!

vegetarian exp. day 6

Jan. 16, 2009

Being home for the weekend has let me catch up on some of my nutrition that I've been ignoring. Today for breakfast I had cheerios and a banana with peanut butter...DELICIOUS! The real problem came at lunch when a couple friends and I headed to coltons steak house....There wasn't much on the menu that didn't include meat, so my choices were extremely limited! I ordered cheese sticks and steamed veggies, but because I don't eat out much and don't eat many greasy foods my choices for lunch made my stomach upset for a couple hours. The veggies were covered in butter and of course the cheese sticks were fried. For dinner my mom made this Delicious Asian salad. Cabbage, almonds, walnuts, lettuce, and .....chicken. I picked out the chicken and ate what was left. Although the things I did eat tasted GREAT, I would have loved to eat a bite of that chicken.

Vegetarian Exp. Day 5

Jan. 15, 2009

Left over butterfinger cake and a couple of peanuts was a perfect way to start off my day! Once again for lunch I had a vegetable sandwich only this time added bell peppers and cucumbers! It kept falling apart and making me really mad! dumb vegetable sandwich! The rest of the day I just munched on almond joys and ritz crackers because the rest of my family is skipping the whole vegetarian boat. I did get half a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in, and popcorn should be on the way! I guess a positive thing in being a vegetarian is that if I wanted I could substitute popcorn in place of all the meat I would normally eat! YEAH FOR POPCORN! The weekend should be interesting!

Vegetarian Exp. Day 4

Jan. 14, 2010

Another day of peanuts for breakfast. I have got to find something else easy enough to eat in a dorm room, and vegetarian. As for lunch, today i explored my cafe' options and went with a veggie sandwich with mayonnaise, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, and onions...let's just say boring. The taste wasn't so bad, just not what i want out of a sandwich. Tonight I ate dinner with my family, but hot dogs were on the menu so i settled for a bowl of white cheddar noodle and a piece of bread. Come to find out, my very kind roommate brought me a Tupperware of mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade rolls, and chicken fried steak...MY FAVORITE! and I can't forget the delicious cake! I didn't eat the chicken fried steak...besides one little bitty bite. I had to do it, chicken fried steak is the best dinner of earth! Considering I only ate one itsy bitsy bite should be considered an accomplishment on my part! The potatoes and green beans didn't quite fill me enough even thought they were delicious...but man that cake sure did they job! If you ever have questions about cake recipes I have one for you...BUTTERFINGER CAKE!
